So this might be a bit embarrasing but I dont care. 2 years ago while I was in India I hooked up with some girl and one thing led to another and after treating her dinner we tried to get a hotel room. But they don't give to single people so we claimed we were married and I bought a small suitcase and stuffed it some shit into it and checked in as they dont allow you to check in without luggage. I lied to my mom and told her Iam heading out with my friends and told her to lock our gate and go to sleep. But then something came up and we ended up checking out.

However by the time I came back home all our gate was locked and I kept knocking but nobody opened the house. I spent next few hours of my night under the moonlight on the stairs of my friends home hungry and tired and it was a misery of a night but as soon as I went home and slept my mom our phone rang. The hotel manager called my home as I had given our real number mistakenly because I left my suitcase behind. The next few minutes its my mom and the manager she goes what? who? when? Seriously expecting any reasonable sense of privacy or discreetness from the hotel staff is an illusion. He went on to proceed right there and then how Mr and Mrs were here last night and forgot their luggage.

My mom says "maa beemar hai aur tujhe yeh padi hai" (she was sick and I had went to visit her) followed by my dad "thode gharwalon ka to khayal kiya karo". My aunt goes "taubah taubah woh bhi Ramzan mein" followed by my uncle calling me beghairat and then my dad calling me zaleel insaan and all that lol. The whole thing caused me too much embarrassment. I think I spent a around a fortune on food, 8000 on hotel, 900 on suitcase and few hundred rupees on bananas and chappals but learned a valuable lesson. There is no such thing is minding your business while in India. Bahut bajaya us din sab ne milke.
