Exactly. KJo knows the 'pureness' of Alizeh&Ayan's relationship will appeal more to the audience than Saba&Ayan's unbridled passion.

It's deliberate.

I think he is trying to tell the audience that Ayan has true feelings for Alizeh and only lust for Saba. Saba is his zaroorat and Alizeh is his khwaish.

I think KJo is very clearly trying to make people root for Alizeh&Ayan 'cause after all, the story is about unrequited love.

People are gonna root for them all the way.

Well I see no passionate or intense chemistry between them...

I know they re not supposed to be in love with each other but lustful chemistry can also be intense.. Their scenes leave me rather cold...

And if Ash's character is supposed to like Ayaan, I am sorry I am not feeling it. She looks rather bored trying to romance him.
