Exactly. KJo knows the 'pureness' of Alizeh&Ayan's relationship will appeal more to the audience than Saba&Ayan's unbridled passion.
It's deliberate.
I think he is trying to tell the audience that Ayan has true feelings for Alizeh and only lust for Saba. Saba is his zaroorat and Alizeh is his khwaish.
