Granted that he is talented and has done films with big names. However, can he reach Khan stardom. I know Hrithik was almost there and many people thought he would but what about Ranveer? Befikre doesn't seem like many people are interested in it (at least not yet) and he doesn't seem to have too much buzz altogether.
Thoughts?

YES absolutely...Ranveer reminds me of the younger Shahrukh Khan...the similarities are uncanny...
Both are not the conventional good looking men...but still the women ..yes the women swoon over these SUPPOSEDLY fugly stars..

They both have a charm which cannot be described but can be felt when they are speaking or are on screen..

Both showed very early in their careers that they are tremendous actors and are versatile to the T...fully capable of doing any kind of role..

They both are extremely witty , fun loving and smart...I always ROFL at their interviews...

Both are playful towards their female co-stars yet very protective towards them...

There are only three differences I see...

SRK was married when he came to BW...Ranveer is a bachelor..already taken though..

SRK's dialogue delivery is impeccable while Ranveer needs to make his voice stronger..

and finally their dressing sense are different..😆

so ya I think Ranveer can be the next superstar from this generation.👍🏼

Well Ranveer Singh certainly has all the ingredients for the making of it..
But I think this generation calls for great actors rather than a "superstar". Gradually I think the blind hero-worshipping phenomenon should wade away, or at least it will never reach the level of Khans for anybody. Because times have changed. Times are always changing. Back then, women killed themselves to see Dev Anand in a black suit. I mean come on people! I'm sure everyone would love a bit of shirtless Ranveer, Ranbir or Aditya, whatever is your type. But giving your life for that? Hell, no.

I hope all actors male and female will be known for their performances rather than their off-screen persona, which, let's face it, is 50% of the "superstardom."

Depends on whether @RanveerOfficial recognizes this change in trend and stays relevant to the fickle audience that we will hopefully become.

The Khans are the last superstars of Bollywood. No one from the current or even future generations of stars can ever achieve what Aamir, Salman and SRK have achieved! This is not a statement on the current crop of stars, rather the fact that the very era of super stardom is coming to an end now! People now go to watch a film for not just its lead actor, but also for its content, songs, direction, supporting cast ect.

Ranveer is undoubtedly talented and very popular too, but I still think that what he is going through is a temporary phase of stardom. I doubt he can sustain it in the long run, unless he keeps figuring out means to stay in news all the time. But if he keeps choosing good scripts and has a reasonably fair run at the BO, I think he is here for a long time! But Ranveer as the future Megastar? No, I don't think so!

A rare and possibly the only occasion where i beg to differ with you...
You said all these things coz that is the INTENDED effect...
The One-woman jaap that he does, the will be a stable family man...
The guy with a (imaginary) sense of humour...
Repeating again & again how he is an outsider...when he is clearly related to AK's family(watch how he swoons over AK) ...The constant reminders from his PR that he is the energizer bunny are all meant to drive 1 point home...He is the next SRK...
From Akshay Khanna to HR to Vivek O & almost every new comer...that's all that we hear about each of them
He is the next SRK...
Sorry guys there's no need for wannabe SRKs when the real deal is alive & kickin' & just got a whole lot better..Watch the re-invigorated SRK sink his teeth in to myriad characters in his upcoming movies...Don't settle for anything less!
