There was a concert Salman and Shahid did a few years back and it was a HUGE flop. NRIs are not idiots like people are making it seem.

They will pay to see celebrities sometimes but not always. The problem with the Ajay and Kajol dinner is that both are super-boring people and hate being social. Ajay has no dancing or entertaining skills either so he can't do a concert. This is their best bet and mostly set up on Kajol's popularity. Nobody would show up to see Ajay.

Let's see how it goes.

Well, I was curious and found the $25 tickets in IL are sold out. This one with no dinner or meet and greet. So you know at least in IL there are desis who will pay $25 . 😆

Don't know about NY or CA.

OK so here is my guesswork for this movie again. 😛

Ajay has drawn parallels of his Shivaay character to Lord Shiva and the story of his marriage to Devi Sati, the daughter of King Daksha who was totally against that marriage, he insulted Lord Shiva during his yajna, Sati could not tolerate it so she killed herself then Shiv ji was furious and carried her shav all over the world dancing in rage which is called Tandav.

In this movie, Ajay is a laid back, ganja smoking tough guy who also helps as a guide in Himalayan expeditions.

So he meets this foreign girl who is actually the daughter of some mafia don in Bulgaria. He saves the videshini's life, they fall for each other, get married. she stays back in India, they have a daughter, then mafia goons come searching for the girl, they track down the couple, in the fight, the wife dies, Ajay is badly injured, the goons kidnap his daughter and take her back to Bulgaria.

Ajay recovers, goes in full tandav mode, he goes to Bulgaria, takes the help of Girish Karnad, the Indian ambassador there, also ambassador's daughter (Sayyesha) helps him in tracking down the mafia FIL and Ajay rescues his daughter and takes revenge.

Kaisa laga mera guesswork? 😳😆

Basically I think Ajay has combined the story of Taken with the legend of Lord Shiva and Sati and King Daksha.

Dude !! *fistbump* I don't know what to say. If this is the movie I will go. But he better not dance the Thandav. It will traumatize me. Now this is one of my most favorite Tamil movies about the divine games of Shiva, the actual Shiva God played by a renowned Tamil actor named Shivaji Ganesan. But this scene has always traumatized me. 😆

Chicago! So the event in Illinois is about 40 minutes form Chicago, that makes much more sense.

What doesn't make sense is the price and time. It's very pricey though, it is much closer seating than it usually is for a BW concert for about the same price.

Anyways Ajay is basically using Kajol's popularity to promote Shivaay because he needs the worldwide gross to recover the investment...she is way more popular than he is, especially overseas, and nobody knows anyone else in his film.

I'd go see Kajol if she was coming closer to me...for lesser money though. 😆
