Gender equality has only come in now. Women were always considered the weaker sex. Moreover the woman bears kids so automatically she has to be the parent/ guardian for her child. So obviously the man needs to provide for all that. He can't sow seeds and run away saying he can't harvest the crop. The alimony rules are there since years but is slowly evolving and getting different clauses.

well who said that men's don't care about their born babies ?šŸ˜• they also love them alot madam ..

No one has a right over anybody's body except their own. Doesn't matter what relations they have between them.

That scene is so brutal.
Why do parents force their daughters into such marriage?
Will society compensate them if their daughter dies? Do they not love her just because she has X chromosomes?
Just my opinion: there should be a law ki agar nehi pyaar hai to kill her when she was a kid, no need to 'show' love for her for 20 years and then dump her to destiny.

A wife has full right to refuse her husband if she is not feeling like doing it on one particular night.

But if that refusal continues for months or if the wife is clearly not interested in any physical relationship with her husband at all, then that is unfair as well.

She should just divorce him in that case so that both can move on to happier relationships.

No human has a right over another human being. Every human has agency over their own body.
Unfortunately, people can be abusive and exert ownership. People do coerce their significant others to have sex.

I do not have a problem with showing marital abuse or rape, depending on how it is portrayed. It is a harsh reality for many people. It would be unrealistic to show only happy marriages. However, if abuse is shown as "righteous" then that is problematic.

Husband should not have any right over wife's body and vice versa. Unfortunately , though the public will not accept Husband has a right over wife's body notion openly , the concept is quiet acceptable and majority even advise the same to daughter before her marriage .
Few months ago I heard a discussion in one of the popular English news channel regarding marital rape , even openly many of them argued that marital rape cannot be considered as punishable in Indian context. In short , majority do believe that husband can do anything with wife after marriage , he has a right over her body , and if she is not interested or if she protest there are high chance that her own parents will contempt her behavior

The fact that you even find the need to ask such a question shows how uneducated you are...

Debates are made all over the world over every single topic. From primary schools to presidential elections.

That practically makes the whole world uneducated. Jeez.
