Actually THG was the only YA franchise that succeeded in that year. The other franchises like Percy Jackson etc tanked despite massive budgets and MALE leads.
Daisy had no role in making it work but Ford is a legend? Wasn't he an unknown prior to the original film? So anyone could have made it a hit. How do you count his contribution to SW but not Jen's to THG?

I don't agree as lifetime and opening day again for big films are pushed by other factors like holiday, raised ticket prices, twice the number of screens. How can we give all advantages to few stars and then ask others to match them? I think pay should be driven by lifetime of films where a star has a significant role. Of course the bigger star will try and take the advantages. So the rest have to work their way up to get the same advantages.

Its not just the Khans...they are not the only male actors who are paid more than the actresses.
Even some of the newer actors are paid more than the senior actresses I think.

Some of those opening numbers by actresses are higher than what some star actors are getting nowadays, still the heroines get paid lesser than those heros?. 😕

Deepika is a bigger star than Ranveer, then she shd be paid more than him, right? But was she?

Kangana, Deepika, Vidya, these actresses have given superhits on their own merit, then why arent they given equal pay as other male stars (I dont mean the 3 Khans)

And when these star actresses' movies become blockbusters, why arent they given credit for the success? Why is the male lead always given credit and much more money?
Its just sexism thats all...

ooo pleaseee😆😆😆

If we want to compare between movie, we need to divide collection with screen numbers. If screen number less then 900, how do we want aspect women centric movies to collect more than Khan movies?I am SRK fans, but, I am not agree to compare his collection with movies which were less screen than him. That just a stupid math. 😆😆😆. OMG. sick!! huahua hua.

MOD, please! Delete my account ASAP. How many time I need to PM both of you. 😆😆

Sorry all, this is probably my last comment for India Forum. For those who don't know, I am a man from outside India, Korean+Singaporean+norway,& now staying in Singapore. One thing I don't understand is why the films with equally important female and male leads are automatically handed to the male actor, while female actors are judged on the basis of "solo" films?

I agree on the last para. When a love story like say Ram Leela or MBKD becomes a hit it is credited to the male star's filmography. While the female lead is treated as incidental even though the male lead would have never given a successful movie without a Alister female lead. I think female actors speak about such disparity in pay and perception rather than demand equal pay to superstars. Trade sites like BOI and trade analysts as well as producers encourage this chauvinism by making impossible demands while giving all advantages to certain stars.

Similar to Jai Ho ie 15 or 16 cr.
But a Khan would get 50 cr salary for the movie. Sonakshi would get 2 or 3 cr.

Khans = A list actress is NOT the issue here
Seriously everything is degraded by reducing this pay disparity to this!

Isn't a DP KR or AS bigger than an Arjun Kapoor?? But r they paid more?
