However, a source close to Karan reveals that all of this is NOT true. Giving us an insight into what actually happened he says, "You really think Aishwarya would not tell Abhishek and her family about her role in the film? It is ridiculous to even infer that Abhishek was not aware of these scenes or her character. She plays an older woman who's physically attracted to a younger guy, so of course there will be love making. She is playing a character and so is Ranbir. If tomorrow Abhishek shoots an intimate scene with an actress, would the same conversation hold? There is no issue between the Bachchans and Karan."
The source also adds that Karan hold Amitabh and Jaya in very high regard. "They are like family to him and Abhishek is a brother, so there is no scope that he would do anything without their consent that would upset any of them. Aishwarya discussed her role with the family even before she signed the film, so it isn't like they were in the dark or taken by surprise when they saw the teaser!"
It seems that it was Karan's decision to keep the intimate scenes between Aishwarya and Ranbir in the teaser to give the audience a feel of their characters. "There are intimate scenes in the film, but those are shot aesthetically keeping in mind the subtext of the plot and the graph of these characters."
Hopefully, this should put an end to the reports of a tiff between the Bachchans and KJo
