@Roger- WOM is a double edged sword, it can give you a Kahani ,Queen, Barfi as hits hence the incentive by these producers to manipulate WOM. People on sns will check reviews, buzz , you just cannot avoid it , it might reflect a bit..but it does. Pathetic indeed.

This is why Studios were needed to atleast make this industry more professional but they rather than correcting the system indulged in the same corruption methods.

@genie- WOM when genuine will go a long way in helping really good films do well..If i remember right, the films you mentioned were hardly promoted yet thanks to genuine word of mouth, they managed to do extremely well..WOM can only help the industry cos it helps in promoting the smaller/niche films which might not stand a chance otherwise..Manufactured/fabricated WOM is such a terrible thing to do mainly because it will backfire in the long run..There will be a point when ppl do't take even genuinely honest reviews seriously..And good films might start flopping because you have paid critics trying to sabotage it..It can work both ways..But then who am i kidding..I highly doubt most ppl here work for creative satisfaction..Or to make a genuinely good and satisfying film..All they care about is money..Its cut throat business..So yes, there is no point cribbing 😆

SRk will support KJo privately but will keep out of it publicly. Even after Ajay filed cases and caused problems after Yash Chopra's death, SRK still remained friendly with Kajol.

And I'm sorry but why does Kajol *have* to take sides publicly? This makes no sense. When SRK/Salman fought, you didn't see Gauri making weird comments and statements. She even stayed friendly with Salman's family and used to be seen visiting them sometimes. There is no reason the whole family has to always be involved in every minor thing.

SRK isn't part of this. If they worked together and met up after the SOS-JTHJ stuff, then these 2 aren't even directly in the battle line here. I think SRK knows how to differentiate between personal and professional too. Don't worry on that front.

With KJo, then yes. I doubt that they can recover from this, which is sad because I do believe there was genuine friendship there. I doubt Kajol would have made an appearance on KWK even if this didn't happen..if there was no clash or whatever because I think KJo has some problem since last KWK...which is weird, because SHE should be upset at how he treated her marriage on National TV, not him. I wish she would keep quiet, but she's just supporting her husband with his dream project. I wish it was different, but I get it.

Obviously, if Kjo is trying to sabotage her husband's dream project, she wouldn't stay quiet...not that Ajay is doodh ka dulha here. He is #1 in trying to be the victim and whining when indulging in the same exact practices. He should have confirmed if there was any actual truth to the allegations before making this public...for all we know it could have been a set-up and KRK could have been spewing his usual rubbish...it can very well be true too because it's obvious the industry indulges in these practices and it's an open secret. This is nothing new -- now it's KRK. Before they used to pay the likes of Taran Adarsh. It was a well known joke that his reviews were bought. I'm sure his tweets are also bought...you can always make out who these people have a grudge against (like TA very obviously hates SRK who probably refused to pay him for something). For Dishoom, Raja Sen let out that they are sent tweets to tweet by the marketing team. This stuff is very common.

And yes, they should focus on their products instead of mudslinging, paid hype, paid trends because all it shows is that they are unconfident about their products. Maybe if they focused on the actual product, they wouldn;t be going bankrupt.
