I like him because he is a good actor..one and only reason..rest I dont care..yes sometimes he shows his over enthusiam offscreen but he is such a good actor and his movies are soo diff from what he is in real life i can clearly differentiate between the actor and the person..
Also i dont want him to loose his uniqueness..offscreeen personality only matters to the social media followers...rest of the cinegoers do not care..Ranveers big task is to reach them..to be very honest the last person who made that was Ranbir Kapoor but couldnt sustained that..ranveer needs to do it through his movies...agar movies hit hoti hain to even ghatiya person bhi achhe lagne lagte hain.. 😉

His behaviour offscreen is embrassing . Thank god am not his fan.
He tries too hard to compete with clowns 😆
I like him only in serious interviews like the one where he rated advertisements .

Maybe if he go back to being Ranveer of BBB days..OTT yet genuine.The underdog who took the industry by storm and ready to face off the privileged starkids..But he has changed a lot since then..Maybe his 2010 -2011 conduct was fake and him post Ramleela is the real deal😆..The calculated attention seeking drama in name of paying homage to co actors,staged PDA.What I dont understand is why he took this route of dating DP to get easy fame? I get why someone like Sidharth chosethat route.Since he has little talent for an outsider..Ranveer already had the likes of VAM,SLB coming forward to work with him post BBB.Yet he found it necessary to paint town red with DP,be the #bfgoals and build his network,popularity.While someone like Anushka went through her own hard days and struggle post BBB and after some serious mistakes finally found her path.

As far as acting is concerned,he is a little better than Varun but definitely not up to Ranbir.BBB is still his best ever work.Perfection.Sonakshi overshadowed him in Lootera.PC was the best thing about BM.Ranveer is talented,dedicated and earnest in his performances but there are many instances where his eyes go blank or his voice flatters during dialogues..He has to work on voice modulation..RK had a growth from Saawariya to Barfi..Varun had growth from SOTY to Badlapur..Ranveer was better than all of them in his debut but I dont see the desired growth in his acting range.

Wouldn't make a difference to what I think of him as an actor..but off screen, would make a truck load of a difference if he were to tone down his over enthusiasm and attention seeking behaviour.

He seems like a nice guy but in my opinion what he presents to world is a carefully constructed image (eccentric clothing choices, overdoting and overindulging bf who is taken advantage of, every senior stars fanboy who whishes good for everyone, playing up of outsider tag in earlier days) rather than his inherent personality..it often comes across as fake

Looks like he is getting caught up in his own image.. something that looked different and refreshing when new is almost gratting now (for a few)

But it's also to do with timing..if befikre works (somehow) people will again become more tolerant of the image (aleast temporarily) but if it doesn't, then it's going to hurt him more

So better to be himself rather than an exaggerated version of energizer bunny imo..

I have to disagree with you on his acting range, I think none of his contemporaries have shown his variation or range. Even in Lootera him and Sona were on par with each other. Varun was supposed to be nervous and unsure in the 1st half as Paakhi took charge of their relationship but in the 2nd half the intense lover in him comes to the fore. He almost played two characters in the movie one subdued and the other passionate and angry.

With regards to BM, I absolutely disagree that PC stole the show from him, from DP she did but not Veer. He was just magnificent in the movie and irreplaceable. I can imagine other actors as Kashi or Mastani but only Veer as Rao. Many people hated the melodramatic ending but I was awestruck mostly because of the way Ranveer portrayed febrile insanity with such bravura. It was heartbreaking to see Rao lose grip on his sanity, such a powerful warrior weakened that way. No one could have pulled that last scene off as effectively without making it seem comical, Veer made it poignant. I legit had gooseflesh on seeing him enact such an obviously difficult scene so incredibly well. That was my fan4lyf moment with regards to Veer the actor.

So yeah atm I feel Veer is the best actor of his generation due to his ability to play a street smart Delhi boy, a suave metrosexual urbane character, a lecherous village playboy, a subdued unsure lover and a warrior chief all with aplomb.

I really like Ranveer but yes sometimes I feel at some point it does become OTT. Like I love the fanboy-ness in him and how much he loves BW, like nobody could do that FAN video better than him!! BUT for somebody who watches his interviews, I started realising that he does this fanboyness with everybody! From Govinda to Anil to Hrithik to Akshay to khans to Amitabh- sabki films dekh ke bada hua hu, main aapke vajah se Hindi films main aaya! toh thoda zyaada Ho Gaya mere liye! 😆

The other thing is as a fan I really dislike it how he talks more about his relationship with Deepika than his films, to the fact that now everybody talks only about their relationship when Ranveer crops up in the topic! I know you mentioned Deepika also for the same behaviour but if I look it compared to Ranveer, no she doesn't do that much! Her films is more talked about than her relationship, yes her PR is over but cmon they keep her in news with what films she is doing or what film she was approached for! The centre is always her career! How much did Ranveer's PR were able to empathise that how he managed to pull off two absolutely different roles in the last year? No they focussed on boyfriend goals Every question in his interviews is somehow connected to Deepika but the same doesn't apply to Deepika! Her questions will be about her films (most of the times)

His PR needs to buck up and establish his individual personality and make Ranveer Singh The ACTOR to shine! The BM thing fizzled out in like 2 months! They needed to have kept that going for like months, comparing DDD/ BM and keep up with that!

Either ways his offscreen personality doesn't matter I still love him as an actor 😳
