Yes 1400 dollars is not a lot and usually such cheques are given to athletes so they can buy equipment or whatever necessity required to improve themselves in their respective sports. Be it even new clothes.

It's just a token to say thank you. Weather it's 100 dollars or 1400 dollars.

Just saying all this incase you heard Salman say I'm giving them 1400 dollars so they can buy a house and food for the rest of their life.
