Vidya Balan is the better actress of course.

Deepika has improved more as an actress - but that's simply because she started off average whereas Vidya entered with a higher skill set.

DP is catching up with every film however - while Vidya seems stagnant at present. All eyes on Kahaani 2 now. She needs to hit the ball out of the park!

Vidya is a better actress ,but I dont think she is versatile. She can only do certain kinds of roles. Deepika on the other hand can fit many moulds.

Having watched Vidyas almost all movies i can safely say she is not versatile at all.
She hasnt done anything great as people make out here.
She is overrated like most actors.
