Salman also disclosed that he was offered Chak De! India also, and the reason why he turned it down was the title of the film, he says, "I had a problem with the title. I wish they hadn't added India to the title. I felt our fans in Pakistan and Bangladesh might feel bad." This indeed was the case as the film, which was hugely popular in India, failed to make much money overseas.

Shame on him. He is an Indian. He should wear that tag with pride. Identifying himself as Indian is an honor not a shame to over look. I'm sure people around the world will have no problem with it since it's an Indian movie, made in India by an Indian actor. This movie was beyond borders. It was about persistence and perseverance of every athlete. The real fight of an athlete is off the field.
