Parineeti Chopra: before & after

Parineeti Chopra first burst onto the Indian screen with a rare form of unbridled pizzazz, the kind that gets you noticed in an ensemble cast.

Six films, four years, copious rounds of fat-shaming and being called "stocky" and "masculine" later, the actress took a break in 2014 to work on herself.

Her recent return to the flashbulbs has been accentuated by a startling metamorphosis, first unveiled through a series of photoshoots on her social media last December.

It was followed more recently by the thumping ditty, 'Jaaneman Aah', alongside Varun Dhawan in Dishoom, which also marked the debut of her newly-acquired washboard abs (all hail Kalaripayattu!).

While she has championed issues like body-positivity and healthy living, post the makeover, the 26-year-old actress visage took us by surprise as she arrived at an Andheri studio on August 7 for the final leg of rehearsals of the Dream Tour, which kicks off on August 12 in the US.

Dressed in denim overalls, sneakers and a green jacket, Pari was a faint shadow of her former cherubic self as she was escorted by security to the venue. We miss her chubby cheeks but we still like what we're seeing!
