Deepika as Smita Patil? Prateik thinks so!

Prateik Babbar recently spoke about his mother, late actress Smita Patil. Smita died sadly of childbirth when Prateik was born. The actor grew up with his grand mother.

In a recent interview the actor spoke cadidly about his mother. When the interviewer asked who would be suitable to play the role of his mother if a biopic was ever to be made the actor said, ''Yes of course, she was the youngest actress to be in the panel of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. She has done amazing work and her personal as well as professional life is truly inspiring.''

Smita Patil rose to fame when she won two National Awards for Bhumika and Chakra. The actress has also three Filmfare Awards for best actress to her name.

Prateik further addded, ''Deepika Padukone is apt for the role. She has looks like Smita Patil, those eyes, the features are similar, her forehead, the poise the demeanor.''

Prateik made his debut with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and worked with Deepika in Aarakshan which unfortunately failed to do wonders at the box office. Prateik also expressed he would like to be part of the biopic if it is appropriate.
