when you are dealing with historic and that too less known period then out of box thinking as to be done

But alas when have we got professional script writer

when you are the producer and director of the film then story changes as per your demand and not according to the experts of script writing

I am probably the only one to have watched MD twice today itself !!! The POA was to watch MD in the morning show ..take a break and then go for Rustom for the evening show ! MD was terrific and I already had posted that. But when I went in for Rustom later ...ek toh the hall was almost empty...so that in itself kills enthusiasm. Then I found the movie dragging ..probably because I kept comparing the MD experience earlier in the day. To my own surprise ..after a while I left the audi and purchased tickets for MD and repeated the movie again !!

I have never done such a thing before ..watching two movies on a single day . But the constant comparison between the two had aroused my curiosity . I appreciate both the actors and like AG's films.AG & HR were a good pair in JA. So I was surprised with the comparison between MD & Rustom with the latter being declared a winner without anyone having watched it. I think that was grossly unfair. So for me the scales were already tilted in favour of MD as the entire build up reeked of foul play. How can a winner be announced without the race having been run ?

Therefore I watched MD first. Always the champion of the underdog. I smell a conspiracy in BW ...against AG by the so called great directors of BW and also HR .Can't see the reason for BW taking sides and not many coming out to support HR in the HR vs KR fiasco ..but to damn his film even before release is not fair.

But HR's fans need not worry as MD scores high. It is an epic effort by AG on a grand scale...something not attempted in Hindi cinema earlier. It is an original genre as no film has ever been made on the Indus Valley civilization before MD. It is not a historical film but a love story based in those times.nothing great about the story but yet the film charms as the setting is so quaint.

Critics have been ruing the inaccuracies of dress, language etc ..but there is no need to go into such details as idiotic films like Ready, Bodyguard, Kick, CE, Ra-one pass the test with no credibility whatsoever... going on to be declared super super hits. Why this unfairness ?

The critics fortunately matter only up to a point. After that the audience decide for themselves. If they are entertained they will watch the movie.Then wom takes over. In the case of MD wom will make it the winner.

The opening scenes are excellent as they are shot at the beautiful Narbada gorge in Bheraghat Marble Rocks near Jabalpur. The setting itself scores high.Great execution. When the story shifts to Mohenjo Daro the peep into a historical city ..one of the oldest settlements in the world holds interest as the narrative continues in its double track ...the simple love story unraveling the interesting setting.So even if the story is simple the interest never slackens as the background is ultra captivating.Once the love story is revealed to everyone the pace picks up with great action scenes...well picturised fights between man vs man and then man vs nature !! Both were well picturised.

I rate AG's direction high. also the music is good ..my favourite being the theme song MD. Via this song the hero meets the heroine as well as the hero gets introduced to MD city. .

But the movie is carried by Hrithik on his able shoulders all through. He is excellent ...most of all in the fight sequences. I can think of no other actor in BW who could have done this role except him. I vote for him to win all the popular awards for 2016 ..that may not happen as the industry has some weird bias where HR is concerned. He is a very hard working actor ..you can see that in each frame. Sarman is a good rejoinder to all HR's critics and he deserves applause.

Mark my words ..MD will go down as an epic in BW history.

Well done AG 👏 Well done HR 👏

PS: With this film Hrithik Roshan stakes his claim as the next superstar taking over the reins from the aging Khans.

I booked my tickets for MD but the reviews are breaking my hope of it being a one-time watch :(
