Deepika Wanted Profit-Sharing For 'Padmavati' But Got 10 Crores Instea

We know that Deepika Padukone became the highest paid actress of Bollywood when she charged a whopping 10 crores for her Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Padmavati. The inside news is that Dippy was actually vying for a share of the profits. However, the industry is apparently still not welcome to the idea of sharing the profits with a female star.

They, therefore negotiated the 10 crore amount, when Deepika gave in. A leading daily reports a source as saying, "Let me tell you Deepika got that amount for Padmavati because the makers didn't want to pay her a percentage of the film's profits that she demanded. She may be in the position to demand but the industry doesn't believe in giving a share in profits to the ladies, only the male actors get that. Dips was paid 8 crores for Piku, plus a fraction of the profit. She asked for the same for Padmavati. She was denied a share in the profits and offered 10 crores flat, which she agreed to."

So now the number has come down from 11 crores + taxes (~12CR + range)... to she agreed to 10 crores flat.

Her PR is on a mission to drive a point home... 😆

I wish SLB and the production house would clear the air once and for all.

So they can pay 20 cr to flop male stars but not to female.

who creating this rumours? BTW, I hope Deepika just turn down this movie. It better for her if this kind of stupid issue on and on everyday. Let someone else.

I am more excited about The Apprentice and her movie with her Piku director. And may be Anand Rai movie with SRK.

Today no one even cares too much ,if they haven't signed anything.

DP,PC,kangana,Katty,Bebo,Alia,Shraddha...no one has anything 'big' lined up..

Except Anu,who is triumphant about her lineup..I am not sure if others could care less about those films🤔

BW is going through a difficult period...

Salman is the engine which is driving the film industry today..Had it not been his films..BW would have been in deep red.

NOw I am back to hoping she is not doing the film.

The ALR film is looking more interesting to me now.
