Suri was an equally door mat character. It was far from pure and blind love. He knew she was out of his league and he was so smitten over her like a prized trophy that he was willing to look the other way and hoping she will turn around. To him it didn't matter what she was upto as long as he got to be a part of it. He was basically adjusting in his relationship and doing things beyond his comfort zone to whatever it takes to stay married.
