Equations in Bollywood change faster than scoreboards during penalty shootouts.
While it seemed that the cold war between Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone is a thing of the past, turns out everyone was WRONG! At least, that's the only logical conclusion one can arrive at after seeing what transpired between the two at a much-talked-about bash held last weekend.
The party in question was attended by many Bollywood biggies, including Shah Rukh Khan.
As it happens at bashes, there was a lot of dancing and revelry. In fact, a lot of people choked on their champagne when they saw Dippy's ex and current boyfriends -- Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh -- grooving like they were long-lost besties.
But alas! No such warmth was on display between Sonam and Deepika.
An insider told SpotboyE.com, "It was a rocking bash and everyone was in high spirits. But Sonam avoided Deepika and preferred hanging out with Alia (Bhatt) and Parineeti (Chopra) instead. They did not greet or even acknowledge each other. Even the host tried his best to make the two strike a conversation, but Sonam steered clear."
Everything seemed hunky-dory between the two when Sonam tweeted a congratulatory message to Deepika and the entire team Bajirao Mastani after the release of the film last year. On her part, Dippy had also reciprocated by wishing Sonam luck for Neerja. But we guess, their friendship was limited to social media and not social gatherings.
Sonam and Deepika have had a rocky equation right from the beginning. Both made their debut in the same year (2007) -- Sonam with Saawariya and Deepika with Om Shanti Om. Pitted as rivals right from the start, the two never found it easy to get along.
Looking at these two, we are forced to believe that "two actresses can never be friends".
