Celebrities who aspire to become successful, crave for fans, crave for stardom and use the media to stay in the NEWS and be relevant do they have a right to let down the fans, get unnecessarily rude at the media and behave like you need to leave them alone.
Do you find this a bit hypocritical?

Y not? They are humans too. Media and celebs have a symbiotic relationship but very few are actually friendswith or know the media persons in person.Their team have much more personal contacts with the media than the actual celeb so the annoyance is not far off thing.

Stages of stardom -
When not so famous - Do all antics to attract attention.
Become bit famous - Sell all antics and milk it to max.
Become a star - Now I don't need those antics , but for media, that's your claim to fame . So it's tussel.
Last stage - fading stardom - Go back to antics but sorry, media found some other joker, so you are ignored .

Yeah I agree but I sometimes do not understand what these people want. It almost sounds like they try to do shit to be in the news and then do more drama by fighting with media so that more is written about them. Too bad there is no uniform alliance to do some kind of blanket ban of a celebrity till they come back to reality. I remember they once did this to Paris Hilton and she started behaving allright after it.

My funda is simple for celebrities. If you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen.

I partially agree with Boss.
Fans are a star's everything and he/she should not be disrespectful to them.
But then there are obsessive, stalking fans who should be condemned.

Both the celebrities and media are equally hypocrites and selfish. Celebs try to make their PRs keep them in news for every single reason while they try to avoid media's questions when they are going through a bad phase personally or professionally. Media also gets too personal at times and there have been so many MMS leaks and private moments that are captured as the media is too nosey. They can go to any extent for their news channel to earn money. I hate when media try to make a serious issue a joke and try to milk from such serious issues. Celebs are nothing less where they try to stand with candles showing absolutely no sympathy for the victims. Ultimately, both are in for one thing that's MONEY.

People who are so dependent on their jobs for income and livelihood often moan and bitch about it. Isn't it hypocrisy to dis the hand that feeds you.

People who are so dependent on friends for companionship and support often end up fighting with them. Isn't it hypocrisy to even get upset at someone who means so much to you?

Valid points. But on professional level they usually gripe about it but aren't vehemently rude about it or they could be called into the HR office for that demeanor. What these stars usually do often blurs and falls into that boundary of being out of bounds.

Yes personally we get upset with our loved ones and it is love hate relationship agreed upon by both parties who are willing to take their crap of their bad days. But the media is not their personal punching bag to take their frustrations out.

I feel this is more of a professional relationship than a personal one hence positive attitude goes a long way just like you would to any client as part of your service excellence.

It's not a simple answer.
I think everyone be it celebs or normal people deserve the right to walk in an airport, have dinner, hell go the restroom in privacy. Even Kim Kardarshian who has made a fortune putting her life out there has spoken about lack of privacy. But even a celeb deserves down time. Some are in it for the fame, some are in it for acting. There is a difference between a reality TV star and an actor. An actor signs up to do movies, but when did it become normal to have their private moments invaded by the media, their family pushed like what happened to Ash's mom, their kids chased and if they protest they are called rude or ungrateful.

A red carpet is different from an airport. You cannot chase a celeb kid just because their parents are famous. These are common sense rules, why is it not normal for a celeb not to expect this. And papps are parasites not media, sorry. when a celeb gives interviews, signs autographs for fans (not autograph hunters) they deserve to go about their life privately. What is so hard to understand. They are people too.
