This year, Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor and Tanvi Azmi's niece Saiyyami Kher make their inroads into Bollywood. Next year, it will be Bhagyashree's son Abhimanyu Dassani's turn to make his on-screen debut.

Reveals an insider, "Abhimanyu has been assisting all this while and has always been very keen on acting. He's finally signed his first film. It's a Phantom film to be directed by Vasan Bala."

The young and talented boy is

currently undergoing training in dance and action. "It will be an adrenaline-pumping action film and it goes on floors very soon," adds our source.

The kids have realized that glitz and glamour ala KJo styled SOTY won't take them far. They need to ACT and for that they need a good director who can make them do it, like Alia, Sonakshi and Varun did, even if the film is small budget. Phantom on the other hand, is using this to fire their stuck projects finally. It's sad, I'd have liked them to go Tigmanshu Dhulia way who is launching Vikrant Massey with his films..

^^^What is the guarantee that they will act? For all we know they might end up like Katrina in Fitoor. Phantom debut means danger of going the Mohit Marwah way if the film flops. Dharma/YRF debuts have greater buzz.

Lol there's no guarantee, but I guess looking at the star kids on top these star kids are taking this route, hoping that a good director will be able to make them act.. also cos they aren't getting any bhaav anywhere else in the filmi circle to facilitate a buzz worthy launch.. 😆

Dharma debuts are still fine for buzz, but personally I don't think YRF is a good place to debut from anymore. Even the initial buzz isn't guaranteed now considering how little they market the launch film.. Dumm Laga ke Haisha survived solely on merit

YRF debutants like Anushka and Ranveer are top stars. Maybe lately the publicity has been off because of Yash Chopra passing away. Adi's approach is completely different. And anyways YRF isnt launching new stars anyway for a while.

What I was trying to say is for a PH like Phantom it was known for talents like Nawaz who are total outsiders and risen after great difficulty. The same people now going for starkids.
