Too many characters and subplots to follow in the movie unless you are planning a TV serial.

- Rishi Kapoor as businessman husband/drunk

- Shabana Azmi as sober society queen

- Ranbir Kapoor as responsible older son

- Ranveer Singh as wayward second son

- Parneeti Chopra as his fiancee

- Anupam Kher as obedient munshi

- Deepika as his daughter who goes abroad on a scholarship and returns sophisticated and rich

- Deepika's mother died while giving birth to her and therefore Deepu is considered Panauti

You could remake Sabrina in Hindi with this basic cast and story 😛 😆

I think you missed the King falling from the upper floor part. That changed everything including the queen.

King was quietly sneaking from the window when his glass slipped out of the window. He went to grab the glass but unfortunately he did not realize that he would fall. There was a big impact when he landed.

Some suggest that Aunt Priyanka might have given a push.
