Ya even am quite surprised that BMW/Merc & Audi are luxury cars, they're high-end, most definitely, luxury? Nope. But tbh, to have & use such cars in India is a big waste because you don't obtain the necessary support in India via the roads & it generates much hostility & jealousy which can be easily avoided since cars are seen essentially, as a status symbol. I see ji point in having such expensive cars, but a high end VW/Hyundai/Toyota etc which will be a little less expensive, that said, SO many people drive BMWs/Audis etc here in India that they're becoming ubiquitous.. I think Jag, Bentley etc are luxury cars & yes, driving them must be a real pleasure. <3 But middle class people like us can never afford those.

Seriously, I roll my eyes each time I see one of them sitting in the backseat of these powerful cars and wonder how the hell can't you not want to drive ? One of the joys of owning these cars is driving, but when I see these people sit in the backseat of an Audi, BMW, Porsche, Merc or LandRover I just want to smack them and say if you wanted to sit on leather seats you can do that in a Ambassador, not have your driver drive you around in these powerful cars that most people would kill to drive 😆

While we can think they are missing out, having a driver is very much a status symbol, no matter where one lives. In Europe only the very rich & very important can afford to have one. The only time we see stars drive their own cars anyway is when it is the sports ones. i wonder why😉

I think being a driver for the rich & famous is the best job among all. You get to drive their cars for them. Especially those who own rolls royces & such. Better than be the assistant or maid.
