😉 Hum Tum is a classic and Rani did so well in that role. Can you imagine Deepika or Priyanka doing it? Please share your thoughts. 😳

Yes!The role was not something great/difficult like Mother India or Pakeeza that nobody can't do it.

Instead u could have made a topic on whether anybody could have done Rani's role in Black because I think no one would have done it so well as Rani.

For dpad a big no. She can't do such roles but yes pc would have with ease. Humtum and tara rumpum are my guilty pleasures

No I don't think so Rani was perfect maybe kajol could've done that role but definitely not deepika or priyanka

As much as I love Rani, I don't think her role in the movie is such a unique thing that only she could've done...I think any actor worth her salt could've play the part Rani played in Hum Tum with just as much finesse!

Yes!

Hum Tum wasn't a groundbreaking role. Rani could sleepwalk through it. She did well, but it wasn't that challenging for someone her caliber. It succeeded and added to her stardom at that point.

I personally think her performance in that film was overrated (awards etc). Her act in Yuva and Veer Zaara were more engaging that year.

Urmila (Ek Hasina Thi) and Shilpa (Phir Milenge) were much better that year. But they didn't have the YashRaj tag.

I loved Rani in this movie. I think Priyanka could've done it... Would've been interesting to see Saif and PC in a movie.
