But look at yr post wording...she should just model, and put purple lipstick. Are you really telling me after 15 years this is what she stands for? YOU don't like her acting...but what about all the crores of people out there, who went to watch her movies..what about directors like Mani Ratnam who took her in their films..? Are you telling them their job?

I am not a great fan of anybody. From whatever I observed, Sonam used to get lot of bashing as a non actor till Nirja (though she was as good as or as bad as many others).

If there are people who criticise Ash's performance, there are also many people who applaud her beauty. Even now, she is the IF favourite for Padmini's character along with Deepika.

When it comes to weight, I realise Vidya do not get so much bashing for her weight gain as much as Ash got. I tend to agree, people feel sensitive when it comes to Vidya. In our perception, Vidya is like one amongst us, where as Aish is sitting in some ivory tower. (May be her beauty peasant, her Bacchan tag.. all have contributed). So people constantly try to bring her down.

Already a lot of Ash fans left this board because of the constant negativity, you want me to get out of here too?

I actually love IF which is why I have been here for years despite everything. Yes, a few members here personally hate me, they have sent me PMs telling me what to write and what not to write. But such things never bothered me.

I've said this already but since you are asking, Aishwarya actually did some good work in a well intentioned movie and I dont mind if you dont appreciate it, but just dont manipulate things to support your opinion.. like saying critics are panning her movie etc.. when fact is Sarbjit's reviews are much better than that.

And this thread is not to stop Ash bashing, if only that's possible. It's unrealistic to expect when every star is bashed here. This thread is to call out on certain agenda-driven trolls.

I think this happens in fluctuations. The problem is that everyone gets bashed but there's also a lot of support b/c certain stars here have a greater amount of support. I feel like Katrina, Aish and Sonam until recently have had fewer number of fans compared to the likes of Deepika, Kareena, Salman, SRK...I can probs name like 3-4 true Aish fans (mudga does NOT count). And a lot of the positives gets washed by the much louder negative.

I will say that there are plenty of times she's been praised more than certain ppl--like for her beauty, dancing, grace, etc even in comparison to Deepika/Katrin/Kareena. But usually when it comes to acting even when she delivers her best like in Raincoat you will always have 2-3 ppl say it was below average or bad. She's not so horrible as she's painted out to be. B/c most of the scripts that come her way are performance driven. I doubt directors would approach if she was only a model, a pretty face, or wooden.

I think quitting/leaving this place isn't a solution even though I have especially when the Heroine fiasco happened. But as a fan I've grown a much thicker skin and learned to ignore a great deal. b/c entangling with trolls is such a waste of time.

And for the person that said ponymo hates on Sonam--not true. She commented on one look. There were ppl saying way worst things. Another mentality on IF: if you say something bad about another favs, then it's open field to start bashing on your fav. Something I'll never understand even after all of these years here.

Love them both. I think it's because they're both currently the only conventionally good-looking ones. Especially Shraddha doesn't have much competition looking at the younger lot.
