He complets the circle, started from disaster, now sitting at a disaster. Khans also gave disasters, but ranbir is mile ahead in disaster also. Yjhd is more like a combine blockbuster, many factors coming all together. Barfi was fluke, told by boi.

Khans were not the only ones, see Sunny Deol, Govinda, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt. Ghayal kind of film, series of hits like govinda, Anil Kapoor's films with Subash ghai, Khalnayak kind of opening which boi said was biggest non-holiday, where are any of these stars in new gen?

All films above were HOLIDAY release except Rangeela and Baazigar. They had no SUPERSTARS from previous era like Big B, Rajesh Khanna or Dharmendra to face. Even the likes of Anil K, Sanjay D and Jackie started fading once they arrived. Sunny was there giving big hit once often but nothing constant. Govinda gave hits but wasn't as big as those guys who got bigger producers and holiday release.

And can't compare the eras. Again. Everything's changed. In that era things were less exposed to public hence only way to see these stars were going to cinema. Today's era. There's TV shows, Social media etc...

Mpk, Ghayal, Saajan, Hahk, Ddlj, Border, KKHH, Biwi No.1, what all these films have in common?

All are highest grosser of the year, and if u see by how old khans, sunny were during these films released, you will get to know same age or experience as our new gen stars.

Name at least 1 film which matches any film from that era, jabki now as u said they have social media, promotions, hype, pr & everything.

Look at their release dates yaar. All Diwali/Eid/Holiday phase.

My school friend own a multiplex in pune, he says if u analyse these new gen stars films, u will laugh a lot. Hardly 2-3 films have even manage to fill maximum rows, that too if by chance any long holiday weekend is there.

His Uncle owns a single screen, often they play old mithun films, u won't believe as some films have actually more no. of people watching it in comparison to new films.

Big stars don't clash with young gen, rare clash happens like dilwale & bm, which had xmas holidays. Whole year has full of opportunity if they really want to make a diference. They should at least follow sunny deol or govinda style.

Abhi khans retire ho jayenge, time hi time hai.

Varun & Ranveer can pull off a ghayal or khal nayak kind of roles, their gunday & badlapur was on these lines. They should try coming out of big PH shadows & should work with new studios, should take risk.

Their barely Dharma/YRF now tho

Both have 1 film each with them. Varun has 3 films. A desi rom-com. An stylish action flick and finally massy comedy like Judwaa 2

These can cement his as star. but needs to do variety of roles like Badlapur.

Ranveer has Befikre but he needs to leave SLB behind. And do some massy films.
