Taking a diplomatic stance is so much better than "marrying a friend was a mistake" and "I have never felt the love in any of marriages" yada yada and indirectly bringing in her in every interview of his to promote his movies. This is the first ever time she's being asked about him in 2 years, so obviously she'll be grilled about that and she can't take the Fifth unlike John who's been asked about his break up w/ Bips and her other relationships umpteen number of times.
