Fawad no...there was a story infact how he managed to escape the casting couch in BW all thanks to the Kapoor family.

Imran Abbass wasnt so lucky. As for those who claim that he is bisexual..what does it matter? As far as I know most of the producers he has worked with Pakistan were women. So there goes the theory of him having to sleep with male producers for work. He had a lot of struggle in Pakistan for ten years and had to work his way up there. Someone who was indulging in casting couch wouldnt have had those long years of struggle and disappointment.

SRK too moved to Mumbai and worked his friends initially. the first movie he shot for was Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman which was directed by Aziz Mirza who also directed Circus and they had a long association from their Delhi DD days. His first movie released was Deewana in a supporting role rejected by most of BW. He got into YRF good books via Darr again in a supporting role rejected by many. If he was servicing people he would have probably gotten better breaks rather than these supporting roles no one wanted.

SSR..now this guy has always shocked me with the amount of support he got and still gets in BW. Cuz I am yet to see any outstanding talent in him or any charisma. I initially felt he was good at networking vs the rest. But then as time went on he went on to become the blue eyed boy of every major producer in town from Ekta to YRF to UTV. Ekta who always hates it when actors left her shows goes back to SSR again and again. I dont think even Ranbir got so much support in his initial days as he gets. I suspect he has some powerful people financially backing his films. There was a blind that it was the Moranis due to his proximity to one of the Morani bhabhis. There is no 'proof' or reliable blinds though. So for now giving him the benefit of doubt.

PS: SRK/Fawad were huge stars on TV before starting in films. Its no surprise they got noticed.

SSR pretty much announces a film a week. All with big PHs and in lead roles with Alister heroines. His only BO hit has been SDR in 2013. He is going strong despite pissing off people like EK, AdiC, KJo all known to keep long grudges. EK has gone back to offering him films many times. Now apparently he has signed a Dharma film too despite dissing Alia on Twitter for walking out of Raabta.

Also wanted to add I always felt that SSR is pretty much ruthlessly ambitious. Proved it recently by dumping his gf of many years after trying to push her into films something she was obviously not comfortable with. Compare that to SRK who MARRIED his gf right before his film released so that his career wouldnt impact their relationship. Funny part is he says SRK is his idol but failed to emulate such an important aspect of SRK's stardom.
