Baaghi had a very good first week by collecting 59 crore nett in week one. The film fared average in the high end multiplexes but still put up good to excellent number in all circuits. The first week collections are only behind Airlift and Fan for the year both of which had big male lead stars...
Baaghi is that traditional box office hit where everyone in the chain makes good money. The film was made for a production cost of 25 crore then the rights went for 35 crore giving good table profit. The worldwide distributors are in Overflow before the week is out and exhibitors across the country will earn including single screens all over which does not even happen with many hit films.
The film managed solid holds over the weekdays and the main competition will come from Hollywood with Captain America - Civil War but Baaghi should continue strong in mass circuits where Hollywood films struggle to penetrate unless its The Jungle Book.
