Why move his movie to a day where already two big films have booked the date a year in advance?

Why cant he release his movie on a non-festive day for once?

As it is January is a dry month as far as box office is concerned, so why would he want three big movies to come on the same day?

Why cant he still clash with Sultan? Is he doing a favour to YRF or is he scared that Salman's film will crush his?

One thing is clear.. Ajay has already clashed with him a few years back and emerged victorious with Son of Sardaar beating JTHJ. The Roshans have made it clear that they are not going to back out either and released the first look of the film.

It is not like Raees is a big, commercial film. Why cant he release it on a regular day?

SRK has created a royal mess. Why he did it only he can answer. He should have stuck to his Eid 2016 or if he wanted to move...should have done it long back as YRF/Salman would never give up a holiday release. He gives Salman a free pass doesnt mean rest of BW will give him a free pass. I had a good laugh when HR released the first look of his film. Serves SRK right along with all the trade analysts like Taran Adarsh, Komal Nahata who were celebrating the shift. Not surprisingly they havent even acknowledged Kaabil's first look. I hope Ajay also releases the first look of Badshaho asap.

PS: Aishwarya has signed Badshaho I presume?

I hope no one moves their release dates for SRK. It was his decision to not release his fully ready movie, and move to to next year why should other give up on their already decided release dates? SRK is just a mess now, so disappointed

1st point Fan was non festive release

2nd point SOS didnt win the JTHJ battle JTHJ did scored more and both were hits

She only said she is in talks. She hasn't signed it yet. But I think she might do it.

But it seems highly unlikely that all three will release on the same day. With Ajay and Roshans being totally unwilling to move, it would be embarrassing if Shahrukh shifts the date again to Feb or March.

He is not in a place to intimidate anybody now. SOS, BM all gave him heartattacks at BO. He should just release it this year on a regular day he has nothing to lose now

Oh yes, and I remember Fan actually had booked Independence day 2015 to release the film but gave up the date to settle for a random day in April. No idea why.

The first weekend war was won by JTHJ thanks to the Yash Chopra element and the fact that SRK-Kat were coming together for the first time. After that, SOS took the lead if I am not wrong.

No...day on day also JTHJ stayed ahead till the end though with smaller margins. Ajay and members of this forum who are not SRK fans declared it as Ajay's victory as SOS had lesser screens. Week 2 Ajay said they had managed to get more screens.

So if Raees had stuck to Eid they too could have gotten more screens from week 2 onwards.
