Why no movies on Tipu Sultan?

How come there is no movies on Tipu Sultan? He was one of the most famous kings of his time and regardless of how you or me might feel about him it doesn't take away the fact that this guy is a legend. There has been many historical and time period movies lately and I feel this guy deserves one too.

Yeah but it was on tv and a very long time ago. A movie with big production will be a treat to watch. In the list of all the badasses this guy was pretty up there. So many stories about him, fighting tiger, lifting a big ass sword, rocket propulsion, taking on armies 4 times bigger than him, giving middle finger to the brits.

Yeah but he never won any war. His father did. And honestly Hyder Ali's life is more interesting. Tipu Sultan bus naam ka sultan tha.

Because a movie about people converting with bleeding penises and beef in mouth is not very secular.

Suzy's family, (Hrithik's ex )produced a serial. Her father played Tipu Sultan. It was rather amateurish and did not hold my interest. It is on YouTube.It oddly came up when I was Youtube diving for songs of the Jodha Akbar movie a while ago.

More than any other king I am surprised no one has attempted movie on life of Chandragupta II also known as Vikramditya. His reign is referred as golden age of Indian history. But most importantly his reign started on a very dramatic mode. Totally film material of bollywood with a love story action, treachery, politics - everything which an entertaining film can demand.

why not Harshavardhan and his Rival Puleshkin in South. They both were Kings of nearly whole India. North Under Harshvardhan and South under Puleshkin.

There is no movie on Kautilya-Chandragupt. They were the one who started the whole Maurya Destiny. There are so many stories in ancient India. But all we get exaggerated versions of few tales. Prithvi Raj Chauhan's life story is so amazing. Though the ending is sad but still it is more interesting.
