Select Jan 26th where already 2 big movies are scheduled to release. And it is one of the slowest periods of the year, as far as movie going audience is concerned.

logic wise..very water-tight argument...Ritesh is a fool...SRK was never grandstanding with Raees...Even b/f DW & Fan released he hinted about negotiations..but Reteish was the one who was sounding standoffish...He needs to learn...By delaying, Raees' ,the makers conceeded that they are doubtful of their product.

This is actually not a good news. Reduces the positive buzz, more so because they have already released the teaser mentioning Eid. But I think it's sort of understandable, comparing the performance of last few movies of both Salman and SRK, the latter would struggle to get screens big time. Sigh!

As someone already pointed out how can jan 2017 be better release date when there are already big movies releasing on that date .

It does NOT matter, what anyone says. In the end the movie should make money, whenever it makes, holiday or non holiday. Also its unwise to eat into the collections esp when the concerned stars are on good terms. FAN was a good movie and unfortunately it did not do well but it did stir up people into thinking about reasons why it did not work, thereby showing their concern and expectation that it should have done well. Anyway all it takes is a superhit to get back into the hit game.

There are good times and bad times of everyone. AB thrashy movies did well since his time was good. A movie which is good should work, despite whoever is the star. At least SRK and Salman rise above the script and give hits, unlike Aamir where the real hero is the script and director. He is incidental to the project.
