This is nothing more than an opportunity for KJo to make lots of money and for Varun and Alia to have at the least a hit under their builds, possibly even something bigger. HSKD made over 70cr so this could cross 100cr (ABCD2 anyone?). Plus I'm sure the budget will be on the lower side, so lots of profit.

I doubt the content will be anything to write home about. First one was actually more like a typical 90s lovey dovey masala except for the kissing and having sex part 😆. As an Alia fan I am disappointed that she's going from Shakun Batra, Abhishek Chaubey, and Gauri Shinde (based on English Vinglish) to Shashank Kaitan. Way to regress woman!!

And why is Varun declaring this the first every love franchise? Wouldn't that be Aashiqui?
