Fan's open letter to Kareena post Ki and Ka

One of the Koimoi readers Saurabh Kshatriya, who is a big fan of Kareena Kapoor has written a letter to her on the occasion of her strong performance in Ki And Ka. Read on what he has to say:

First of all thank you so much for trusting your fans a lot and showing immense confidence towards us in your recent interviews where you said, "Fans drive a film not reviews" and "if anybody has dared to criticise me then my fans have given them back", here I, on behalf of your millions of fans, wants to assure you that we are always there for you. Your performance is a treat for us which we will celebrate with you and your failures are equally our failures and we will be there for you as good friends but we will never leave you. You have said in your interview that you will work till you are 80 so you have to bear with us because we don't have any option other than you.

I am a fan who has grown up with "you as a person" and "you as a performer" on screen so with this 16 years of fan - star relationship, I can pretty well observe how have you evolved in all these years. From a self obsessed Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham to a street hooker in Chameli, from a riot victim Aliya in Dev to the full of love Dolly in Omkara and yes the Geet (becuase the name doesn't need adjective) of Jab We Met and the painful Avantika Ahuja in Kurbaan are some of your reflections as a performer. These were the notable one's but how can one not fall for Rajkumari Kaurwaki of Asoka and the revengeful Priya Malhotra of Aitraaz who can leave no stone unturned to save her husband?

Movies are just a section for us to like you but what inspires us more the evolution of you as a person which I observed through your stage presence and interviews. I can trust them because I know you speak your heart out. You have got appreciation and you have made mistakes too but you didn't let all this sit on your head, what you learned is march forward.

We as your fans are so proud of you for the performance that you have delivered in your recent success Ki And Ka. We were waiting for something like this since you have done Talaash and watching you as ambitious Kia was a 2 hours 6 minutes treat for us. I could pretty well understand that you wanted some time with your husband and family after marriage and that is why you have done Singham Returnsand Bajrangi Bhaijaan but at the same time we are happy with your recent release and are curiously looking forward to Udta Punjab now. You want to do films with good scripts, well we could see that.

Once again thanks a lot for inspiring us with you and your characters and I know that you will keep doing it. Thanks for giving us one more argument against your critics with Ki And Ka. Always remember that we are there for you and we will support you no matter what.
