I will say it again, it's not gritty enough. And in this still Aish seems to be overdoing it. I can already hear her screeching voice

On the contrary, I think it might end up being good movie for Randeep. He seems to have really worked hard for it and his stills already make me feel bad for his character.
Aish seems okayish but yea, She has a hard time in acting out high on tension emotional or outburst scenes because she ends up screaming like a banshee. 😆 Otherwise, going from the stills, she seems fine.

^Dalbir Kaur herself is quite a loud person.. one cannot expect Aishwarya to be herself. And Ash is the exact opposite in real life.. she is going out of her comfort zone yet again.

I like the stills so far. Everything looks real and authentic. So far so good.

As long as she doesn't attempt anything feisty, she will be fine...Her screechy voice and dialogue delivery are a huge shortcoming she has...Just because someone is going out of their comfort zone doesn't make them suitable to that role nor does it make them a great actor/actress...

I'll give it to her for trying very different stuff and strong roles. I like that about her.

But truth is, she really has a hard time emoting certain type of scenes, like in Jazbaa for an example many could not connect with her when she was crying for her kid or running around in desperate search for the kid.

Amazing stills and poster. Excited to see the movie and Aishwarya. All the best to the whole team. Looking forward seeing Aishwarya playing this character.

I think it's harsh to judge her just based on Jazbaa, simply because the director is weak at extracting emotions and she is a director's actor. However, she has shown great range of emotions if you look at Provoked, Guru, Raincoat or even Devdas.

Dalbir is exactly that! She is loud and very very expressive. Look her videos up!

So Ash seems to nailing the part.

The stills look fabulous. Can't wait for the trailer.

That, my friend becomes her weak point. A good actor should never have to depend on the director, they can shine even in the worst material.
But every actor is different so I won't judge her that harshly since she seems to try her best in each role (barring a few), it's better than some actors who don't try to challenge themselves at all.

Not necessarily. Even a multiple National Award winner like Shabana was overacting to the hilt in some of the scenes, some critics have pointed that out. Most of the actors tend to perform acc to the director.
