No, movie stars aren't heroes, they are just actors.
Not sure if I really know any real life heroes but for the sake of conversation, I would say someone like Mother Teresa or people who voluntarily (and not out of financial reasons) join peace corps or the people who participate in making this world a better place in spite of all the political/financial/social pressures they face, they are the heroes.
There aren't really that many such souls in this world .. heck who am I to judge, it isn't like I have done anything heroic in life.

World is better than it would have been without those people. Even if they made it better by miniscule amount and you can't notice the difference because it is like the size of a nanoparticle in this huge messed up universe. Can't help it when such heroes are such low in number, the difference they can make can't be huge because the actual messed up population is of too many people.
Movie/Sports stars results are actually something like looking at the small thing with a huge microscope -- everything is enlarged. These are the things that get media attention and hence, get reported all the time and hence, they appear huge. Also, the sad part is that humans give more importance to their own personal entertainment over actually making the world a better place. And in return, honestly, the entertainment that we get is also not of even a good quality level. We just have to make do with crap entertainment because we do not have much of a choice. No one gives us a better option. For that crap level of entertainment, these so called stars get paid humongous amount of money and high level extra privileges in the society. So, really no heroism there.

An fictional representation of perfect qualities we imbibe on a person.
In real life, it is ordinary, flawed human beings like our fathers, husbands our mothers or wives who get up in the morning and slog through traffic to get to a job or stay at home and slog there, make sacrifices that we may not know about to give us our wants and needs. They do not have fans. It may be a teacher, a friend, even a stranger. Flawed human beings who do countless invisible things that make our lives better and barely get thanks let alone acknowledgement. Those are the heroes.
