I'm not a Deepika fan and that's why I speak objectively when I say that she has the largest most die hard fan base any Bollywood actress of this generation could have. She has the highest number of twitter and instagram followers which is something you can't dismiss in this generation. I really admire Priyanka but she's been in the industry/limelight for 16 years, has a flourishing career in Hollywood and yet is still lagging behind Deepika when it comes to social media followers. That speaks volumes. Ask any actor who they want to work with. Their answer is almost always Deepika. Everyone who works with Deepika be it her co-stars or her directors seem to fall madly in love with her be it Imtiaz, Homi, Shoojit, Irfan Khan, Ranveer Singh. When SLB mentioned who he wished won the National award winner who did he name? He could've named Priyanka but he named Deepika.

She's in everyone's good books and gets along with everyone she works with. Priyanka on the other hand is a very feisty, strong willed woman who will put up with no bullshit which comes across as a bit much at times and so she doesn't have that people pleaser trait that Deepika charms everyone with and thus not everyone warms up to her. Deepika is on her friggin A game and has been killing it, what would be the need for insecurity?

Do you have selective hearing/reading or something, SLB took both Deepika and Priyanka's name as to who he wished had won the National award. Watch/read interviews properly rather than just reading the titles. And just because DP has higher social media followers she can't be insecure of someone? That's illogical.

This young actress has everything going for her. Professionally, she is busy with a big project and her personal life too seems to be pretty peaceful. However, the career graph of a certain actress seems to be making her insecure and she's keeping a tab on her.

Says a source, "Recently, the actress called for a quick meeting with her managers and told them that she wants to be signed for big films and plum brand endorsements. She even enquired about a contemporary and wanted to know the line-up of her upcoming films and the number of brand deals she has in her kitty."

It is said that the actress in question began taking a keen interest in the other actress' career post the appreciation she received for a film they did together.

Another source says, "She clearly wants to stay in the limelight and will do everything she can to stay ahead of her peer. Even when Bollywood folk were praising her co-star for receiving an honour for her work, she couldn't stop raving about her ongoing project."

She was earlier keeping a close tab on another actress who has managed to get critical acclaim for most of her performances. Looks like she has a fresh target now.

True but Priyanka supposedly won all the accolades for that film with a lot of people saying that Deepika was underwhelming and yet SLB still took her name, that says something. Deepika has consistently been giving back to back hits one after the other and winning critical acclaim for every single film she's done so no, she has no reason to be insecure of Priyanka.

Deepika has lots of reasons to be insecure of Priyanka where Hollywood is concerned for sure. DP's PR has been acting ridiculously because of some things coming up for PC on the international front. You'll see in a couple weeks anyways... I'll leave it there.

SLB did say both of the names? Man, I didn't know. Because two days ago this forum went bersek and everybody was sulking for Kangana because SLB wished that Deepika should have won the National Award..Most of the people then forgot conveniently that SLB said Priyanka's name too 😆

Everybody was blaming how SLB could take Deepika's Name againgst Kangana but nobody was blaming him for taking Priyanka's name :-)

But IMO Priyanka is the only actress in Bollywood who is not insecure. She achieved a stage in her career where she is in a good place. She is way to cool for that.

I do believe Deepika has been insecure especially in the past. But I think right now she is in a good place. She is in Canada and doing her thing. I do think she has some trump card up her sleeves because it is suspicious there is no news about her future films in bollywood. And it is suspicious that her PR isn't saying anything about it too...Even Priyanka, who is totally preoccupied with Quantico and won't be able to do more than one bollywood movie in this year is more in news about possible movies.
She did come back for one week to India two weeks ago and even then there was no news about any possible new career decisions (besides the RK-Balcony meeting, which we all know didn't happen). Apparently she just came for the wedding and has kept hidden publicly.
