Do people honestly see these two dating each other? I seriously don't. I just don't see Sid looking at Alia in that way. Alia seems to be more into him than he is into her in that way. I just see them as friends.

Exactly this. He had always seen & spoken about her as if she's a small girl & it has always hurt Alia's ego & made her angry. There is ZERO any sort of chemistry between them & she looks like a child in front of him which makes it in some way... Vaguely disturbing.

I wish KJo had paired him with someone who doesn't elicit "cradle snatcher" vibes upon seeing this "couple"!!

No, not a beard. But they are also not in a romantic/sexual relationship. It seems to me that this affair was concocted to raise both their brand value and keep them in the news constantly.

Varun and Alia do have chemistry but it was never known they were an item until they called it off. Varun's girlfriend Natasha didn't like his closeness to her so he just completely cut off now they are on cordial terms. Now when he's asked about Alia he gets all shy he was teased about her during Dilwale promotions.
