Shah Rukh Khan shooting special song with Sunny Leone for Raees'

SRK is shaking a leg with Sunny in a reprise version of the 1980 chartbuster "Laila O Laila" from the film "Qurbaani". The original track featured Feroz Khan and Zeenat Amaan. A special set has been created at Mehboob studio.

Mumbai, Mar 25: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan today began shooting with actress Sunny Leone for an item song for his coming film "Raees". Shah Rukh, 50, is shaking a leg with Sunny in a reprise version of the 1980 chartbuster "Laila O Laila" from the film "Qurbaani". The original track featured Feroz Khan and Zeenat Amaan. A special set has been created here at Mehboob studio.

"It's a dance track, an item number which is part of the film and not an end-credit song. The set is that of an old retro bar. The situation is that it is a bar where they are selling alcohol in the pretext of selling cold drinks. That is where Sunny is dancing," a source from the set told PTI. It tells the story of bootlegger Raees Khan (Shah Rukh) whose business is challenged and eventually thwarted by a police officer played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. "The song will be shot for four days. Right now Shah Rukh's entry shot will be filmed. There are 50 junior artists and 20 dancers," the source said. Recently, Leone's face-off with a journalist on a talk show won her lot of praises. Everyone from Anushka Sharma to Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt took a stand for the actress.

Superstar Aamir Khan expressed his desire to work with her. This will be the first time Leone will be sharing the screen space with a superstar, after her cameo in Akshay Kumar's "Singh is Bliing" last year. Leone, 34, has previously shot for items songs in films like "Hate Story 2 (Pink Lips) and "Shootout at Wadala" (Laila'). "Raees", which also stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, is produced by Gauri Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film is scheduled to release this Eid.

Sunny Leone has lived the dream of so many Shah Rukh Khan fans. She was at the set of his next movie, Raees, and said that this was the first time at a film shoot where she "kept wanting to pinch herself" just to see if it was a dream or reality.

"So we have Laila Sunny Leone, Shah Rukh Khan and baniya ka dimaag' Rahul Dholakia in Raees... Are you wondering what's next?" Ritesh tweeted, to which the Jism 2 actor replied.

"First time on a film set where I kept wanting to pinch myself to see if it was real or a dream. Amazing first day! Rahul Dholakia, Ritesh Sidhwani, Shah Rukh Khan," she wrote.

Raees also stars actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani talent Mahira Khan.

Sunny Leone has worked in a number of Bollywood films over the past few years, but never had the chance to share screen space with a superstar onscreen. As that changes with her item song in Shah Rukh Khan in Raees', the actress cannot believe it is actually happening.

Leone took to Twitter to say, "1st time on a film set where I kept wanting2pinch myself2see if it was real or a dream.Amazing 1st day! @rahuldholakia @ritesh_sid @iamsrk ... In life when you pray...wish...and work hard...your dreams can come true! I wished and prayed for this day to come for many years!thank God!"

In Leone's initial days in Bollywood, besides Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt, superstars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt were seen speaking in Leone's favour during her stint on Bigg Boss 5'. However, Raees' will mark the first time Leone is seen sharing the big screen with an actor of Shah Rukh Khan's calibre.

Item number... Did they really have to do this? I thought this movie was gonna be a sensible one. Looks like SRK & co wanted to create more hype around the movie with an item song *sigh*

Its just going to be the song Laila O Laila playing at a bar, Sunny will be dancing to it as Raees is doing his thing with alcohol (selling it)...sounds pretty fitting to the story.

stories based on Dons usually do have an item number in bars.. all films do.. Whats the big deal if this one does too?😆 Although I am glad its a rehash of Laila O laila.. the lyrics of this one are not so bad😆
