If celebs will make politically controversial statements, they will get a response, be it negative or positive from the govt or the opposition or public. This happens everywhere. Srk, Aamir and others made those statement for publicity and Bharti and her ilk are doing the same. I don't see any difference.

Lol can't believe SRK fans are still in delusion that DW under performed cos of the protests ...the fact is it was a BAD film 😆 few shows getting cancelled in few cities don't mean much in a vast country like India...wom was so bad Srk's lucky to have a semi hit rather then flop. And don't even compare Indian moviegoers with NRIs they love Srk-Kajol pairing like crazy, most of them are still in DDLJ space 😆

Many movies have had worse protests than those against Dilwale and fared much better,it was a bad movie ,as simple as that. Srk has a huge fan base overseas ,NRIs were waiting for it coupled with kajol srk nostalgia.

Absolutely, recent eg is PK still it did 300 cr. Jodha Akbar was banned in 5 states officially still it did well. So many movies get affected by such nonsensical protests yet the good ones will always shine and the bad ones will fade away...
