But after some years specially now when I see those movies I feel differently. Who in real life behave like that? Not to offend anyone I don't find them normal now. SRKs more real films where Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na not Darr or Anjam..But I appreciate these more now than I did previously. That's what I like about Aamir. A DHMN or HHRPK or Rangeela - I don't spot any overacting even in a period where overacting was IN thing

i think thats what the problem is.. when i watch movies, i am not looking for realness.. i am looking for soemhjtiung that would fantasize me.. that would engage me.. that would make me go through a whilr of emotions and thgat is what srk movies do for me.. even while watching the movie, i know that what is happening is not somehting that would happen ordinarily and yet i cnat help but root for him and the heroin ot meet in the end. like in mohabbatein, everyone knows the aishwarya bhoot was unrealistsic. but i did not see the unrealism.. i saw the symbolism..
like in hirani movies, i actually like munna bhai better than pk.. thats becuase munna bhia struck me on an emptional level.. i guess its what you want in the movies that decide who your favorite is.. for me.. its alwasy about having an emotional impact on me
ps.. kabhi haan kabhi naa is one of my fvaorite of srk movies😳

I agree that some of SRK's movies haven't aged well but the ones that have make me fall in love with him all over again. I still love DDLJ, DTPH and Dil Se but its the Dharma movies of his which I can't tolerate now.

I even had a Salman phase as a kid after HDDCS so I have fond memories of both SK and SRK.

P.S. I did not like Lagaan either and it took me lot of time to get the appeal of DCH ...basically I am too lowbrow😆

P.P.S. I dozed off 5 minutes into Ship of Theseus.

Yes Aamir used to be a decent actor, a natural actor which is commendable considering the period...

But something happened during/after that way overrated Lagaan movie... I remember being stumped by the hype surrounding it , it was nominated for an Oscar, critics calling it the perfect movie ever made...

I think his movies/performance changed after that and not for the better... His off screen persona became annoying...

Maybe Mr.Perfectionist tag got to his head, I have rarely read an article about him without the word 'perfectionist' being mentioned
