Deepika reacts to Katrina's comment on her relation with ex-boyfriend Ranbir
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's matargashti hadn't gone down too well with Ranbir's girlfriend Katrina Kaif. And now, Deepika has an answer for Katrina's comments.
Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, friends-turned-lovers-turned-friends, were last seen on the big screen in the November 2015 release Tamasha. When the two ex-lovers were busy painting the town red with their matargashti, a certain magazine went and asked Ranbir's present girlfriend Katrina Kaif about what she thought of her boyfriend spending so much time with his ex-girlfriend.

Katrina's response to GQ magazine had let out (unwillingly, perhaps) a hint of insecurity. She had said, "I can't enforce my will on the people in my life. Their choices are their own. I may not be happy with them but I hope that as they mature or as they evolve, their choices will change!"
As soon as social media got a whiff of the latent insecurity in Katrina's words, the grapevine was abuzz with rumours of everything not being too well in Ranbir and Katrina's paradise. However, this Christmas, the lovebirds put all rumours of trouble in their personal life to rest by posing together for the cameras at Shashi Kapoor's brunch.
And meanwhile, Deepika was asked what was her take on Katrina's 'I can't enforce my will on the people in my life' comment. In an interview to Filmfare, Padukone said, "I don't read between the lines. I take people at face value."

More often than not, Deepika Padukone has cropped up in discussions pertaining to Ranbir Kapoor's personal life. What with their see-sawing relationship, going from lovers through a bitter break-up to arriving at the place they are now in, Ranbir and Deepika have mostly been on Bollywood-gossip-mongers' radar all these years.
Even though both Ranbir and Deepika have moved on in their respective lives, their once-upon-a-time relationship is never quite out of mind. Or out of sight, for that matter.
And as for Ranbir and Deepika, the two have, in the recent past, gone on the record saying how they were really good friends now. Deepika is currently in a relationship with Ranveer Singh, while Ranbir is dating Katrina.
