Ans. Ridiculous numbers. The landing cost of the film was around 5 crore not counting the extra prints that had to be taken out due to the extraordinary run of the film. The market rates at the time were 50 lakhs Salman Khan and 30 lakhs Madhuri Dixit so remuneration would have been in somewhere around these numbers.

For a general audience it was more of a mads movie..Devdas came 7 yrs after dat n dil was after a string of flops she had given..During HAHK was her peak time..I heard MF Hussain was so smitten by her in d movie dat he watched d movie 67 times for her n during her comeback movie aaja nachle booked d entire hall to watch..Such was her effect 😃

She came before Salman in industry, peak time was not coz of her alone, she did multistarer big films like Ram Lakhan, Tridev, Dayavan. No one is taking her credit from Hahk, but when u solely credit her just to mock Salman fans, it even lesser her role play in film's success.

Madhuri did 1 film before also with Rajshri, her debut film, disaster it was, she did film with Salman also, Dil Tera Aashiq, now while naming DTA, ppl will call it Salman's flop, won't call it Madhuri's flop... ajeeb system hai credit dene ka?

All her films where she was Main Character, female lead, all bombed badly at Box Office, Aaja Nachle comeback was flop, Gulaab Gang was flop... if she has in her, why couldn't she even give 1 single clean hit film on her own?

^ Bura phase to Salman ka bhi aaya hi tha..can u write off his work prior to dat?.. d difference btw d two was salman cud come out of it n play whatever age he wanted n while as I said for an actress dere r limitations, she cudnt...For whatever time she was active she made full use of it eg hahk

seeing that only 35 screen yet good figures..
n comparatively 180 screens lower figures
Hahk did better it transpires..
so hahk the movie beat ddlj the movie..by a heavy margin..

bt IMO salman khan has been the first male flower pot in
an Indian movie in HAHK as whenever i tried to see bit
of Hahk i only saw madhuri ji eating the screen space
with her scenes n songs n dance..
so if u compare srk in ddlj n salman in hahk srk had more
than a male flower pot role there..
specially his scenes with amrish puri ji ..

just my opinion as part of discussion..
do nt treat this as an effort to demean salman khan..
no am no fan of actors..am a fan of reality..calling a spade
a spade is my only habit..
