Sonam was destined to do Neerja 👏 ⭐️ just like dattu/tanu was designed for kangu or piku/veronica made for deepika. Anu though good as shruti kakkar.
But there are certain roles who are just written for the actors.

she has done a decent job...at few scenes she could have done better but it's ok...

She was not miscast. But she not the best or the only one. She got a look and it was good to portrayed how beautiful Neerja is. But, she not the best. For me, Diana Petty could be better for looks and the roles. This roles doesn't need much acting. Moreover everything depend on the Hijackers & the parent, if Hijacker & parent play the role better, so, Neerja will be better.

Then, it was really funny when some fans suggest PC & Kangana for the roles. Both actor never good in that kind of roles. For dark side or loud women, yes... I will suggest them. Anuska may be good for looks, but, she not the kind of "sweet sweetie girl" which is need to play that kind of roles.

This roles not much colors. It was straight forward. So, Diana Petty can do that very well.
