'I was the first to be cast' Priyanka opens up about 'Kashib

Priyanka Chopra who is in the country for a day to promote her upcoming film 'Bajirao Mastani' spoke at an event about how she was the first one to be cast for the film.

Priyanka plays the role of Kashibai, Peshwa Bajirao's wife in the movie and she stated that it was quite a challenge to play that role. However at the same time she was tempted to play the role of Kashibai as she was a character who couldnt voice herself. Priyanka said,

"I was the first to be cast. I was approached for Kashibai. For me, the temptation was to play a character who couldnt voice herself. For me it was difficult to play a character like that."

She also revealed that she would have also loved to play the characters of Bajirao (played by Ranveer Singh) or Mastani (played by Deepika Padukone).

'Bajirao Mastani' releases on 18th December 2015 and has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
