I've been one of the few who have been excited about the film since the trailer was released. My reasons were: Imtiaz's last film was super amazing, Rahman's music is always impactful, and Deepika blew me away in the trailer.
But it seems the hype was low for the first month since the trailer released.

People thought PRDP will affect it's business, but I don't think that is the case now. And DP+RK humungous promotions all over town seemed to have done the trick. There is a real buzz now, especially with the music having had time to grow on us... and the new short promo clips.

I'm watching it first day first show in the UK, whoop!!!

I have been planning to watch it from the first day it was announced! Lol

People are bored with PRDP n looking for something un-sanskari in the form of two exes heating up the screen! Lol

DP's compromise on her self respect is doing the trick I suppose! šŸ˜†

I never had any doubt that it would do well. It falls into the sorta candyfloss genre that college students etc will want to watch and the music is good, the leads are pretty, a lot of my friends are talking about watching this over the "event" films like BM and Dilwale. It might not break records, but it should be comfortable.

I am definitely watching it for Deepika and Imtiaz Ali
Am not a big fan of RS but he is talented no doubt, he is more like Aamir Khan of this generation, but much more detached than Aamir. Aamir is crazily in love with his work.

overall, it should be a decent watch. Music grows on you and the candyfloss-with-a-twist never fails to work.
