Aamir can have his own perspective and disown his country.. But Indians dont need people like that to stay in India anymore, so 'intolerant' people are suggesting him to leave this country peacefully with all the money he has earned from his countrymen 😛

What's the difference then, people are just proving what he said was right, with their actions.

People tend to jump the bandwagon when such issues arise. I bet on their own, without all the media frenzy, no one would bat an eyelid. The issue has garnered way too much attention then it should've.

I bet some out of this group of people that are ridiculing Aamir would jump at the opportunity to live in another country. Of course for reasons suitable to them. I don't see how that is any different.

I actually feel like laughing at this whole controversy. To start with, Aamir as usual tried to prove himself as one of intelligentsia by coming up with this bizarre statement that too about such a sensitive issue. I don't say that feeling insecure or scared in a religiously/racially volatile society is anything wrong but dude! lets make it clear, even if the religious intolerance hits the masses, you would be the last one to get a scratch. If you remember you gave multiple multi-crore hits in the last decade! You have a team of bodygaurds around you 24*7 and your kids future will surely be in abroad until they too wish to become actors and en-cash on your legacy. So CHILL, you are safe :p Secondly if you had to show your highly opinions about such a sensitive topic, why make such a controversial remark?? Just to gather some eyeballs? like really? There were 100 better ways to raise your concern.

And if Aamir wasn't enough, our politicians and more than that all these so called self-proclaimed enlightened intellectuals of the country whose current leader is Anupam Kher, they are 10 steps ahead. What that man said is what he feels like a citizen of India. Almost everyday we hear people saying how they don't want to live in India because of xyz reasons. We all have NRIs in our family who were probably not satisfied with this country. Many of us wont leave the next chance we get to settle abroad for a more secure future. And that doesnt make any of us a criminal. Its personal choice. If we say or wish to live outside the country. Then why does Aamir Khan become a criminal if he says that the intolerance in the country makes him skeptical about living here!! Dude its his choice. And I dont understand this constant rants about how Indians have made an SRK or a salman or an aamir. If thats so every profession is made by someone. A doctor has no worth if there are no patients. A teacher has now worth if there are no students. But still do we ever make a teacher or a doctor feel indebted to their students or patients?? No we probably respect them. Then why the hell does an actor need to feel indebted to his audience??? Its a business and a give and take relationship. Its stupidity to bring the Indians' mahanta in making the khans what they are. They are what they chose and worked to become. And seriously tough I wish Aamir had been sensible in voicing his concerns about intolerance but the way his pov has been twisted, its utterly ridiculous.

Whether I agree or not, it is his opinion at the end of the day, but honestly nowadays you can't have a opinion without a group of people jumping on you. Mushkil waqt aa gayi hai.

Aamir is an idiot. Frankly, the audience is at fault for bloating up his ego and giving him the overconfidence to say stupid things. He's duped people into thinking he's some intellectual because he sits and cries every week on his tv show.

His opinions don't even make sense. On one hand, he dismisses Islamic terrorism as "not Muslim," while falsely equating it with "hindu terrorism" (W*F?) while also saying his kids must be Muslim despite having Hindu wives.

He is not ready to give up his religion despite the controversies and won't even acknowledge the problems within in.

And yet, he has no problem talking about leaving his country and giving it the title of intolerant.

Very convenient to blame others but not take any responsibility himself.

On a serious note it is so sad to see the way media and few pseudo intellectuals are hurting India's image with their exaggerated and illogical comments. If I was not actually living here, I would have thought that the country is going through its darkest and most terrifying phase. That is how media is twisting the perceptions. What actually has happened that suddenly we are this "intolerant" nation? Has there been riots, or any violence, or any real threat to any community? No, none of it. Yet there is so much hoopla over God -knows- what. We keep demanding responsibility and accountability from our political leaders, its high time that media and public figures also displayed some.
