Exclusive: No, I am not doing Bazaar - Hrithik Roshan

October 29, 2015 Seema Sinha

So finally all the rumours surrounding the film Bazaar has been laid to rest with Hrithik Roshan himself clarifying that he is not part of the film, which is supposed to be helmed by Nikhil Advani. "No, I am not doing Bazaar," said Hrithik exclusively to Pinkvilla when he came to attend the opening ceremony of Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) in South Mumbai on Thursday.

Few days back, gossip mills were abuzz that Hrithik, who is currently shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama Mohenjo Daro, had walked out of the project after the dismal performance at the box office of two of Nikhil's back-to-back films - Hero and Katti Batti. It was said that Hrithik had lost confidence in the director's abilities.

But the director had clarified that he is yet to finish the final draft of the script and then only things will be sealed. Nikhil had also said that Hrithik had not walked out of his next project Bazaar and the actor is yet to give the final nod. Hrithik and I had a conversation about the film only once. I am presently working on the final draft of the script. Post which I would narrate the story to Hrithik and then he would decide about the film', Nikhil was quoted saying. And now we have the final word. Hrithik is definitely not doing the film.

Nikhil, who had much earlier directed Shah Rukh-Saif-Preity-starrer, Kal Ho Na Ho, had said that Bazaar was the story of Mumbai city on the lines of powerful drama like Yash Chopra's Trishul but with stock market as the backdrop. It has to do with power, obsession, a tumultuous relationship between two men and the stock market', he had said.

When is MD releasing?

Its a bad strategy to do a film every two years!

He can never reach the top league like this although he is considered one of the superstars! He is 40.
Pull your socks up already!
