Advance booking opens in Gulf!
Ever heard of people booking tickets
for a film one-and-half month before
it hits the theatres in their land? It's
happening in the Gulf for King Khan,
even without a trailer/teaser of his
upcoming movie.
The distributors of the film in UAE are
so confident of the Shah Rukh Khan
starrer Dilwale that their talks with
the exhibitors have resulted in
theatres there having thrown their
online booking open.
Add this to the fact that the response
to the early advance booking is
terrific (Gulf market is big), and you
can picturise a worried panchayat in
the arch-rival Bajirao Mastani's camp
--- lead actors Deepika Padukone and
Ranveer Singh, director Sanjay Leela
Bhansali, and producers Kishore and
Sunil Lulla.
9xe brought you that exclusive story
of Eros International having booked a
big number of single screens from
December 18 onward (the release
date of both films) in Bombay Circuit,
Delhi, Rajasthan and many other
places in India, imposing a condition
that they'll not screen any other film
except their Bajirao Mastani for at
least a week ( Shah Rukh Vs Deepika
war gets nastier, Sep 23 ).
A source says, "So, this is definitely a
counter attack by Dilwale camp, but
it's organic. The buzz about the film
has rocketed in the last few days,
especially after portions of the film
were shown to sections of the
media."
Adds the source, "Mind you, a big
English film--- Star War's sixth part---
will be released in UAE on the same
day. The fact that yet the response to
Dilwale in the Gulf is so prompt and
overwhelming, speaks only about the
bright prospects of this SRK film co-
starring Kajol, Varun Dhawan and
Kriti Sanon."http://www.9xe.com/bollywood-news/what's-happening/7338/round-2-dilwale-counterattacks-bajirao-mastani
