Karan Singh Grover fans swear by his good looks. So you can imagine their disappointment when they saw their favourite television actor looking tired and jaded on the recently aired show, Selfie.
A quick throwback - KSG (as he is fondly called) is the host of Selfie, an interview-based show on a news channel where leading stars of Bollywood talk about their journey to stardom. The first episode, which was recently aired, featured Salman Khan. Anyone who watched it, had the same complaint - the Dill Mill Gayye actor was a pale shadow of himself.
The director of the show Madhur Agarwal blamed it on the format of the channel. He said, "GEC channels usually have much better infrastructure and hence, their shows are shot on a much bigger scale. The same is not true of news channels. When I saw the final output of Selfie, I was disappointed and made my displeasure clear to the channel honchos." He is aware that things might not improve in the first season, at least. "If we get high TRPs, maybe the channel will shoot the show in a better format in season 2," he added. And what does Karan have to say about the show? Was he disappointed after watching the first show? "Although I have not spoken to Karan, I'm sure he must be disappointed with the overall output," ended Madhur.
