But Aishwarya in pancake make-up while working out and then making those crazy expressions is pretty hilarious.

I actually prefer her early movies where she mainly stared at the screen then hamming it up like a lunatic like she is in this movie.

She should have just avoided this movie and come back with the Karan Johar one. At least it won't be this embarrassing.

No actor's career is all filled with great movies. There's always good, bad and ugly. Nothing embarrassing about it.
That said I am glad she chose a risky movie over a safe movie like Karan's, says a lot about her will.

And only on India forums do I see so much hatred for a harmless movie. And this was there even before the first look of the film was out, so it's not really surprising, but it's really tiring to see certain factions trying super hard to pull it down (not saying all those who criticize are doing it, but some are and I think everyone can make out who they are).

That's your assumption. How do you know this was not in the script?

I'm assuming because of what Sanjay Gupta told in an interview.I've ended the sentence with a ? because I am assuming, I didn't state any fact.

And if Ash was the kind to give into pressure, she would have been the shape she is now 3 months after having her baby, which she clearly wasn't.

I'm not talking only about Ash. I'm talking about this mentality of losing your weight just to shut the mouth of those who keep calling you fat.Same with Sonakshi Parineeti and Bhumi Padnerkar. Why bother doing such a thing when you believe in your own body and don't care about your weight? (And this goes way beyond just weight)

I dont think the video was made to shut people up alone. This is the description of the song "talks about a fit, happy, single mother working out, waking up her daughter and getting her ready for school, making breakfast, going to court, etc.", so it goes with her character.

If people are getting fitter, it does not necessarily mean it is because they are being affected by the criticism. Could also be that they want to get fitter, healthier.

Even if one is affected by the criticism, why point fingers at them for reacting to it? They are human too, and to survive in a cut-throat industry like showbiz, they have to be on their toes to survive, and that's what they are doing.

I didn't realize the movie is about how clownish one can look and act...

It's damned if you do, damned if you don't. If she stayed fat, people would have said she's an actress and how can be so lazy and stay so fat? Now that she's lost weight, then there would be criticism that she got affected by what others said and is trying to show them.

Anyway, nobody really wants to be fat. It doesn't look good and it's not healthy either. I'm sure she was trying to lose weight even when she was much fatter. It was just a slow process for her since she doesn't seem to work out.

Don't really have any issue with her as a person. Just that the movie looks really B-grade and her acting is hit or miss.
